Welcome to the main thing, Jesus Christ – you can get to know HIM in our church!
As the Protestant Congregation Kirchdorf, we are not focused on our church building, but on the main thing – and that is the central person of the Christian faith: JESUS CHRIST. That is why the name of our church in Kirchdorf, “To the Good Shepherd” (John 10), is a reference to HIM. Because HE is so important to us, and because nothing is more rewarding for us than to live and share the personal relationship with Jesus, we have in our church:
Varied church services, where adults can always make new discoveries.
Children's Church – a special children's service for 3 to 12-year-olds parallel to the church service. Here, children learn about the biblical message & HIS truths.
The youth group – you should check it out if you're a teen! The leaders ensure action & depth.
In home groups we foster community and read together in God's word.
The senior gatherings in the community hall or nursing home are always a joyful community.
On every 2nd Sunday of the month, there is church coffee. This is not a coffee variety roasted specifically for Protestants, but a time to meet, to spend time with each other, for example, to chat with the “newcomers” or to discuss the sermon again together. And on Soup Sunday (the last Sunday of the month), we take time to have lunch together.
For those looking for variety in between: We have our own public library. Just for this reason, it's worth coming. After the services, there is often a real rush for books, games, and DVDs that can be borrowed here.
