On the forest road it goes downstream through the gorge and through several tunnels. Directly at the Schleierfall, the trail leads up through the Hochschlacht to the Anlaufalm.
You will be rewarded with impressive views into the core area of the Kalkalpen National Park and the Hochschlachtbach with smaller and larger pools and waterfalls is a constant companion.
After about 1.5 hours of ascent you reach the alpine pasture of the Anlaufalm. The Anlaufalm in the heart of the Kalkalpen National Park is located at 982 meters above sea level and is managed from May to October.
Directly from the Anlaufalm, the loop leads up again very briefly in an easterly direction and then it goes past the Drei Bilder and at the Hirschkogelsattel right on the forest road back down the valley to the starting point.
Tip:From Unterlaussa via Mooshöhe, after a short drive on the gravel road, you reach the Weißwasser parking lot, which is an optimal starting point for hikes in the Reichraminger Hintergebirge in national park Kalkalpen.
