The big Hintergebirgs circular trail leads from the parking lot at the barrier in the Brunnbach over the Schafgraben up to the Kreuzweg, further to the no longer managed Ortbauernalm, from there over the Stieglboden to the Annerlsteg, Triftsteig, over the Hochschlacht to the Anlaufalm and over the "3 pictures" at the Hirschkogelsattel back to the starting point.

Directions:
From the parking lot at the barrier in Brunnbach, the trail leads through the Schafgraben up to the Kreuzweg and on to the Ortbauernalm, which is no longer managed.
From there over the Stieglboden to the Annerlsteg. Here begins the Triftsteig through the Große Schlucht, an experience of a special kind.
The hike along the Triftsteig requires surefootedness and a head for heights.
Alternatively, you can hike along the bike path through the tunnels. After the exit, the Hochschlachtbach stream drops over the "Schleierfall" (veil fall) to the Schwarzer Bach (black stream).
Here begins a steep climb over the Hochschlacht to the Anlaufalm (982 m). You return to the starting point via trail 490.

From Passau: A8 Passau > Wels > A1 motorway exit Enns-Steyr > B115 into the Enns Valley
From Graz: A9 Pyhrnautobahn > motorway exit Klaus > Grünburg > into the Ennstal Valley
Public Transit
The Ennstalbahn runs between Linz and Weißenbach-St. Gallen.
